Angelo Mozilo came to mind the other day as I was cramming a rather stubborn section of pork spine into the garbage disposal. Mozilo was the founder and CEO of Countrywide Financial, a huge subprime mortgage outfit that literally gave him around a half a billion dollars before he dumped the place on Bank of America a few years ago. But it wasn't Mozilo's status a master player among a multitude of charlatans and mountebanks that summoned him from memory. No sir, it was his face. Get a load of that face.
